Between July 1998 and October 1999, I had the opportunity to travel around South
East Asia twice. I made it to Indonesia-just after President Suharto stepped down, to the Philippines-near where my great
uncle fought in WW II, to Vietnam-my number 1 destination choice for years, to Cambodia-to see a country coming out of war,
and to Thailand-where my trip ended.
