Apart from all of the WWII sites, Okinawa has much to offer. In a week's time, I could only visit two of the islands and see only a fraction of what there is to see.

Shuri-Jo Castle. This is a rebuilt castle from the long ago Okinawan royalty. The original castle was flattened by bombs and artillery shells during the war.
